The short version: we set no cookies, run no advertising, sell nothing, and track no one across the web. We measure how the site is used with privacy-preserving, cookieless analytics that collect no personal information. That's it.
This policy explains how Anuna Research Pty Ltd ("we", "us") handles information when you visit anuna.io. We are an Australian company and follow the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. For visitors in the EU and UK, we also honour your rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR.
We use Umami, a privacy-first analytics tool, to understand how the site is used in aggregate. Umami is cookieless and collects no directly identifying personal information — it cannot identify you or follow you across other websites. For each visit it records only aggregate, non-identifying signals:
Your IP address is not stored — it is used momentarily to derive country and is then discarded. This analytics data is processed and stored on Umami Cloud, on infrastructure we have configured for EU (Germany) data residency.
The site is served and protected by Cloudflare. To deliver pages and defend against attacks, Cloudflare necessarily processes your IP address and may keep short-lived server logs and set strictly-necessary security cookies. We name Cloudflare here because, as the host, it handles a request's network data regardless of anything we add — honesty about who touches data matters more to us than a narrow "first-party" label.
We set no cookies of our own, and our analytics is cookieless. The only cookies that may be set are Cloudflare's strictly-necessary security cookies described above. Because we use no non-essential cookies, there is no consent banner — there is nothing to consent to.
If you contact us (for example at hello@anuna.io), we use your email and message only to reply and to keep a record of the conversation. We don't add you to any marketing list.
Under the Australian Privacy Principles you may ask us to access or correct any personal information we hold about you, and you may complain if you believe we've mishandled it. In practice we hold almost none. If you're in the EU or UK, you also have GDPR rights including access, erasure, and objection; our lawful basis for aggregate, cookieless analytics is legitimate interest.
To exercise any of these, email privacy@anuna.io. If you're in Australia and we can't resolve a concern, you can escalate to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
Aggregate analytics are retained in Umami for as long as the measurement stays useful; they contain no personal data. Cloudflare's security logs are short-lived. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed for the conversation and our records.
The site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be made clear.
